Long time Board member, Michael Baker, submitted his written resignation last night at the Special Meeting. We wish Mr. Baker well in his endeavors and thank him for his many years of service to the Association.

The following restrictions are in effect in the city of Grand Prairie:
- No watering on Wednesday, Saturday or Sunday.
- Even Numbered addresses may water on Mondays and Thursdays.
- Odd numbered addresses may water on Tuesday and Fridays.
- Handheld and soaker hoses are allowed to be used any time.
*The following restrictions also apply at all times:
- Residents and business are prohibited from watering their lawns anytime between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m.
- When watering, a constant stream of water should not be allowed to flow into the street drainage.
- Watering during precipitation is prohibited. Rain sensors are required on newer watering systems.
The Drought Contingency Plan may, depending on need, also prohibit all or some of the following non-essential uses (water use that does not directly benefit or maintain health, personal cleanliness, or firefighting purposes):
- Irrigation of landscape areas, including parks, athletic fields, and golf courses, except otherwise provided under this Plan;
- Use of water to wash any motor vehicle, motorbike, boat, trailer, airplane or other vehicle; except as otherwise provided under this plan.
- Use of water to wash down any sidewalks, walkways, driveways, parking lots, tennis courts, or other hard-surfaced areas;
- Use of water to wash down buildings or structures for purposes other than immediate fire protection;
- Flushing gutters or permitting water to run in any gutter or street, except as part of water quality management to flush stagnant water or enhance disinfection residuals;
- Use of water to fill, refill, or add to any indoor or outdoor swimming pools or Jacuzzi-type pools;
- Use of water in a fountain or pond for aesthetic or scenic purposes except where necessary to support aquatic life;
- Failure to repair a leak(s) within a reasonable period after having been given notice directing the repair of such leak(s) and;
- Use of water from hydrants for construction purposes or any other purposes other than fire fighting.
- Use of water from public drinking supply for gas well operations including fracturing and drilling

We will be having carpet installed in the Office tomorrow and will not be open. We will reopen the Office on Thursday, October 23rd at 8AM.
S&P Tree Services will be out tomorrow to remove a tree and trim a few others.
The city will be hosting the next electronics recycling event for residents and small businesses on Saturday, November 15, 2014, to celebrate America Recycles Day. The event will be at the Development Center, 206 West Church St. Grand Prairie, TX 75050 from 9 a.m. to 12 noon.
Items accepted are:
- Computers
- Laptops
- Printers
- VCRs
- DVD players
- TVs
Items that cannot be accepted are:
- Any hazardous materials, liquids, broken monitor tubes, yard equipment, air conditioners, or refrigerators.

Grand Prairie HHW events take place at the Development Center located at 206 West Church Street from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on the following dates:

Metroscape will be here on Monday, October 20, to mow the property.
S&P Tree service will be here on Tuesday, October 21, and will be removing the remnants of the tree in the common area between E. Mountain Creek Drive and E. Mountain Creek Court which was badly damaged during the storm on October 2nd. Other trees in the subdivision will be thinned and trimmed.
We would like to welcome Bobby Gentry as our newest Board member; he is filling out the remainder of Daniel Flores’ term which ends in March 2016. Bobby has been on the Board previously and is also a former Board President. He has a lot to offer the Association.
