We will have a large item pickup this Thursday, October 20th, on the West side only. We will pick up regular household trash first then come back for large items.
We will not pick up restricted items (like TV’s, paint or car batteries) or any construction debris.

We received reports of a few home burglaries during the past few days on West Townhouse Lane, and another reported on the East side. One happened around 2PM while the owner was at work.
Please report suspicious activity/vehicles to the Police.
One vehicle seen around the time of the West Townhouse Lane burglary was a White Chevrolet H/D Work truck with side boxes, like mechanical trucks; License Plate unknown.
We will be mowing on the West side on Tuesday, October 11, and the East side on Wednesday, October 12.
We still have residents who allow their dogs to wander the common areas off leash and at large and who do not pick up after them. As a reminder to all, Grand Prairie City Codes require that all dogs are on a leash and under control at all times, no matter the size the dog. You are also required to clean up after your dog(s) per Grand Prairie City Ordinances and HOA rules. We have invested in several Pet Sanitation Stations around the subdivision, please use them. If none are in your area, use a grocery bag to pick it up and throw it in your garbage.
If you see someone who constantly allows their pets to defecate in our common areas or who allow their dogs to wander the common areas off leash, please report them to GP Animal Control. We have had several instances of pets being attacked or killed by these loose dogs. We have ‘Affidavits of Fact’ in the Office that you can fill out, have notarized and take to GP Animal Control; they will then issue a citation to the animal’s owner(s) as if they saw it happen.
This is probably the worst one so far, large pieces of a broken mirror in a trash bag. We do know where it came from because we are watching for it every trash day. The bag is next to the tire on the HOA truck, with a 16″ diameter wheel on it. The piece of broken mirror is almost the same length. There were more pieces in the plastic bag, but this one poked through just as you see it. The photo to the right shows the size if the broken mirror piece. There is no rational explanation as to why someone would do this, because they had to see it protruding out of the bag itself, other than they just do not care. It could easily have cut one of the guys very badly.

Despite several mentions of this issue in the past 2 or 3 Informational Notices sent out to all homeowners and addresses, we continue to get broken glass, mirrors and other sharp items put into plastic garbage bags. A few weeks ago, we found a steak knife in a plastic trash bag, only because the blade end poked all the way out of the bag. This could easily have seriously injured one of our employees.
On Monday someone put a broken mirror in a plastic bag, the larger pieces of which poked out of the bag. Had there been any information in the bag with an address on it, the culprit would have been fined. Shortly after the broken mirror, we found another trash bag, this time with pieces of broken window glass in it. We were able to identify where this bag came from and that individual was fined.
Any broken glass must be placed into a box and the box needs to be securely closed.
