The entire property is being re-striped this week, including the Fire Lanes and the Visitor parking areas.
The Office will be closed tomorrow, Thursday, August 26th. It will reopen on Friday, August 27th.
The system is doing as we hoped and last week it notified GP Police of a stolen vehicle that drove onto our property. This vehicle was recovered. Not sure if they got the driver or not. While we do communicate with GPPD on a regular basis, some details are not always provided.
I would imagine PD is notified of many other activities here that they do not always pass along.
Due to a scheduling issue for August 5th, we have postponed the regular August meeting until the following week, August 12th,
We will put out the meeting signs next Monday, the 9th.
The Office and Maintenance will be closed on Monday, July 5th in observance of the July 4th holiday.
The pool will also be closed on Monday, July 5th.
Have a safe and happy July 4th!
I spoke with a GPPD Seargent this afternoon regarding some issues on the property and he mentioned that the Flock Safety cameras have already notified them of a vehicle going through the property that has outstanding warrants on the registered owner. He said it is almost instantly notifying GPPD of miscreants driving through our property.
Flock has made a few adjustments to the camera angles on 2 locations and it seems they are now finished with that and the system is up and running.
GPPD is patrolling the entire property regularly at our request.
As we told you last month, the Board approved the installation of 7 License Plate Reader (LPR) cameras at several of our entrances. These LPR cameras are now installed and Flock Safety is in the process of realigning them and making sure they are working and communicating properly.
They will be feeding information to Grand Prairie Police directly, which will reduce response time should someone enter the property that is either wanted, in a stolen vehicle, or that is a known criminal.
We are taking proactive steps to ensure the community is as safe as we can make it. However, residents should also get involved and let GPPD know of suspicious people, cars, or activity within the subdivision.
