Sharp Items in Trash Bags

As most of you know, we do not allow broken glass in plastic trash bags.  If you do have broken glass, such as mirrors or bottles, please put it into a box and tape it securely closed. This prevents injury to our guys and you getting a hefty fine. We do monitor trash bags for broken glass on each and every trash day. Any sharp item needs to be securely contained to prevent injury!

The photos below simply boggle the mind; it goes beyond negligence. Yes, that’s a large butcher knife along with several other knives in a plastic trash bag. One of these knives is protruding from the bag, in the second photo.

Fortunately, none of our guys were injured, but it could have ended rather badly. We do know where this bag came from as there was a piece of mail in the same bag.
