There is an Open Board Meeting scheduled for October 2nd at 7PM in the Association Office.
We have had several instances recently of people dumping along the back of the West side at or near the end of West Townhouse. Last night, someone dumped off a load of junk and were observed doing it. They had a dump bed vehicle and sadly, we did not get their license plate information.
If you see people dumping anything on HOA property or City property, please call the Office and let us know.
We need to put a stop to this and those responsible will be prosecuted.
Sometime between 11 AM and 12 Noon, someone cut off 2 padlocks from a compartment on one of the two MetroScape trailers and stole 3 leaf blowers and 2 string trimmers. This was done in broad daylight just to the South of the Office, under the tree near the corner of West Mountain.
This theft amounts to about $5,000 in equipment lost by our landscaping contractor. If you saw something, please call the Office
We will be doing a minor water line repair on East Mountain, near 14th and Belt Line. This is a 3/4″ line, but will require that we shut the water off at the main supply.
We will begin repairs after trash pickup (around 10AM) and should be finished by 2 or 3 PM.
The Pool will be closed until Memorial Day 2015.
Here are a few pictures of the new thermal windows/doors on the rear of the Office. They are still sliding doors, but much sturdier than the original ones. The difference in the Office is remarkable; the A/C units don’t run as much and the noise level from outside is much less. I will get some pictures of the front later today or tomorrow.
We received a resignation in the mail from long time Board member Mr. Daniel Flores, effective on September 4, 2014. We want to thank Mr. Flores for his many years of dedicated service to the Association and wish him all the best.
The plumbers came out today and mentioned that the broken gate valve before the meter was the City’s responsibility. So, we called the City, they sent someone out to look at it, and the Repair crew will be back out sometime on Friday to repair the broken valve and to replace piping up to their side of the water meter.
Our maintenance guys will come out on Saturday to replace the leaking part which is after the meter; they will be less expensive than having a plumber come out over the weekend.
We are not certain when the water will be shut off tomorrow when the City does repairs and this will affect a large number of homes. On Saturday, our guys will get started around 8AM, but these repairs will only affect a row of homes. We will have the water back on as soon as possible.
In order to fix the gate valve, we will have to shut off at the 6″ City primary connection. This will likely affect most, if not all, of the East side. I hope it doesn’t, but we have put notices up in that area as a precaution, so everyone is aware of what is going on.
