Open Board Meeting, June 2nd, at 7 PM in the Association Office.
The 2016 Pool season will begin with the Pool opening on Friday, May 27th, from 3PM to 9PM. Saturday and Sunday will be the posted schedule. We will be open on Monday, May 30th, from 11 AM to 9 PM.
After that, the posted Pool schedule will go into effect (see Pool Schedule/Rules above).
Anyone with a red pool pass needs to come to the Office and exchange it for a Blue pool pass. Anyone with the red pool pass (from last year) will not be admitted. If you do not have a Pool Pass, please get one from the Office.
We will not have a repeat of last year where people treated it like a public pool. The Pool is for the exclusive use of homeowners and their guests ONLY.
The newest GP Pipeline is posted.
We have received reports that some teenage kids were trying to climb the pool fence in the past few days. We need to remind everyone that if you climb the fence while the pool is closed, you can be banned for the year or permanently, at our discretion.
We were also told these same kids were throwing rocks into the pool, which we did verify when we pulled several rocks out of the pool. This will also get you banned for the year. We are working to identify these kids.
The Office will be closed at noon on Friday, May 20th. We will reopen on Monday at 8 AM.
Special Board Meeting, May 19th, at 7 PM in the Association Office.
Barbara Eden, long time and valued employee of the HOA, has passed away following a hospital stay. We were informed about her death yesterday. Ms. Eden was the Office Manager for over 20 years.
There will be a time of Visitation from 10:30AM until 11:30AM on Wednesday May 18, 2016, at Jeter & Son Funeral Home, Cedar Hill Chapel, 332 Cedar St., Cedar Hill, TX 75104.

Here’s our crew power washing and vacuuming the pool to get it ready for residents. The pool was covered for many months while the fruitless Mulberry trees put forth their caterpillar like seeds.
We will open the Pool on Memorial Day weekend, Saturday, May 28th. See the Pool Schedule posted on the site for more information. We have new pool passes for 2016 so please stop by the Office to get the new pool passes.

We had a resident come in this morning and ask why they could not use clear trash bags for trash. The front of the box of clear trash bags showed pictures of these bags filled with leaves and with empty water bottles. The main problem with these bags is not that they are clear, it is that they are meant for leaves and light materials. They are not very thick and the seams are not well sealed. They are perfectly suitable for leaves; we do prefer a heavier gauge trash bag for general trash usage.
We have residents here who repeatedly load up the clear leaf-type bags with about 30 pounds of trash; the result is these bags tear open and we have to clean up the streets or the front of the compactor. This is why they were mentioned in the latest Notice sent out to all addresses. This same phrasing has been used in the previous Notice sent out in November 2105, which said:
Please do not use clear leaf bags for trash; they are made for leaves and will tear open if used for trash. Regular trash bags are preferred, tied/secured properly. Contractor bags are too big.
The April 2016 Notice that just went out says exactly the same thing as in November 2015. It asks to please not use clear leaf bags. It does not prohibit the use of clear leaf bags as such.
The GP Pipeline for May 5th is posted.
