We have another water leak at a meter located near East Townhouse Lane, between 10 and 12. This meter feeds East Townhouse from 1 to 19, and 3 houses on East Mountain Lane, 7, 9 and 11.
Water will be off as we repair this leak. We will have the water back on as soon as possible.
We have a water leak on West Mountain Lane, at the City’s meter. The City is fixing it now. Water should be back on within the hour.
We will be repairing a leak on a 2″ line that feeds the 2-story homes on East Mountain Creek Court facing Warrior Trail.
Repairs will begin around 8:30 AM.
(9 PM) We have a water leak on West Mountain Lane which affects the houses facing the pool.
A 2″ elbow has split and our guys are working on repairs now. We hope to have water back on by 5 AM.
The City water department is replacing a meter on the west side, right in front of 41 West MC Drive.
We are not sure how long it will take as they are using a back hoe and raising the meter itself.
We have a leak on the West side, in front of 31 West MC Drive. It is in the general vicinity of a previous leak there. As we dug to see what was causing this leak, we found a water meter about 3 feet down; that’s an odd place to put a water meter.
So, the City is out repairing the meter leak, and will eventually raise it up to ground level.
The repairs made last night blew apart as soon as the water was turned on. The elbow split at the seam. Another problem is the shut off does not close completely and it is almost impossible to repair a pipe with water running, even a small amount. This has compounded the issue. The shut off has the City’s 6″ line on one side and our 2″ line on the other. We need to replace it eventually, but that can wait for a while.
So, we have repaired the 2″ line again, this time getting a bit creative in realigning the pipes. As the ground dries out, it moves. We must let the glue dry completely to make sure the bond is set.
We will get the water back on as soon as it is practical.
We noticed a large leak this morning on West Mountain Creek Drive, and after digging up the area, we found a leak in a 2″ line. We had to shut off the water to that area to effect repairs. The leak seems to be caused by ground movement.
Due to the ground movement that started the leak, repairing it is difficult due to a slight misalignment. Our crew has repaired it twice today and the repair came apart as soon as water pressure hit it. They are working on it now, but need to take a break, eat and get some rest. We will allow the repair to dry overnight to make sure the glue has set properly.
Water will be on as soon as possible tomorrow.
