We have gotten several quotes for 250 Shrubs (50 each), 25 Trees and 90 Flowers for our Spring planting. Consideration for our current climate conditions were part of picking these items; non-deciduous trees, drought resistant, and minimal care required. The trees will be from 3 to 8 feet when planted, the shrubs all 3 gallon containers and the annual flowers will be planted around the Office, Pool and common areas.
Anyone wanting to volunteer to help plant these shrubs, trees, and flowers may contact the Office, 972-264-2587.
Hey. Just wanted to say that getting nice plants for commons areas is great. But I was wondering whether anything is planned for the weeds that are in great abundance in the green areas in front of the fences of our properties? I’m constantly digging out dandelions! But there are lots of other weeds growing in these areas. Any plans for weeding and strengthening the grass?
Coleen,
Yes, we are working on that. I have asked the guys to spread some grass seed as they drive throughout the complex on their other duties. The biggest problem is no one waters the common areas which will not be conducive for new growth.
There’s been slight change in our “color”; it seems they do not have any Impatiens, so they will be replaced by another type of Periwinkle, more suitable for full sun.
