We will be doing a Large Item pickup for the West side this Thursday, May 25th. For the East side, large item pickup will be on June 1st.
We will pick up regular trash first and then come back around for the large items.
We have been seeing GP City trucks around since last week; they are changing out our street signs and putting up larger Stop signs at all exits from the property.
I believe they are also adding Stop signs along our entrances off of 14th (near the golf course), something we have not had prior. The new street name signs are reflective, as are the stop signs.
The April 21st GP Pipeline is now posted.
You can also find the Main Street Festival Information here. It runs Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
The Office will close at noon on Friday, April 21st and will be closed all day Monday, April 24th. We will reopen as usual on Tuesday.
Here are a few recent photos of the 10 Chinese Pistache trees planted, 40 various shrubs planted, and a few houses painted on the East side.
Work Orders
Please call the Office and have a work order made out if you need something done on your property or if we need to address a problem in the common area. Our maintenance guys are busy now doing painting, landscaping and all of the other work assigned by management. Asking them to do something directly circumvents processes that have been in place for the past 45 years.
We need Work Orders made out so that we can properly allot costs and labor for our financial reports. It also provides a paper copy for future references, and simply asking one of the guys to do something causes problems in that they get busy and forget about it, resulting in misunderstandings.
So, call the office to get a Work Order made. We will get to it as soon as we can, based on other projects in play.
Trim Colors
There seems to be some confusion on how we do the paint schedule and when we paint the trim colors. First, we paint the base color on several rows of houses (10-20 homes).
Later, we will come back and paint the trim colors. We co not do both colors at the same time and as far as I know, we never have. There is no set time period within which we paint the trim colors, it depends on several things. However, we will be back to paint trim colors when we can.
Trash days, mowing, and other pressing matters will interrupt the painting schedules. We did not forget about you, we just have not gotten there yet.
As most of you know, we do not allow broken glass in plastic trash bags. If you do have broken glass, such as mirrors or bottles, please put it into a box and tape it securely closed. This prevents injury to our guys and you getting a hefty fine. We do monitor trash bags for broken glass on each and every trash day. Any sharp item needs to be securely contained to prevent injury!
The photos below simply boggle the mind; it goes beyond negligence. Yes, that’s a large butcher knife along with several other knives in a plastic trash bag. One of these knives is protruding from the bag, in the second photo.
Fortunately, none of our guys were injured, but it could have ended rather badly. We do know where this bag came from as there was a piece of mail in the same bag.
Following a power outage at the Ruthe Jackson Center, our 2017 Annual Meeting commenced as planned. After introducing the current Board members and reading the Minutes of the 2016 Annual Meeting, the election process began. After about 45 minutes we had the results of Proxy, absentee ballots and ballots cast in person.
The results were members of the current Board were reelected (Robbie Jamison, Karelin Seitz and Don Ryan) and our newest Board is Alfredo (Fred) Quintero. We would like to welcome Fred to the Board of Directors!
The current Board is as follows:
Power is back on at the Ruthe Jackson Center, so our meeting will be there as originally planned.
