On the 2020 Ballots were 4 positions open and 4 people running for those positions. One of those individuals, Ms, Jamese Broadnax, withdrew her interest in being on the Board a few weeks after the ballots were sent out which was due to personal reasons. She is expecting and her life was going to get very hectic, we can understand that.
The other 3 people on the ballot, Robbie Jamison, David Barksdale, and myself were re-elected and Ivan Martinez was elected to the 4th position as write-in candidate. Board Officers were elected after the Membership meeting and they remain the same.
Let’s all welcome Ivan Martinez to the Board!
The 2020 Annual Membership Meeting will be held this Friday, July 24, 2020, at 7 PM via ZOOM virtual meeting due to COVID-19.

We sent out postcards to homeowners with information regarding Absentee Ballots and Proxy votes. These signed Ballots or Proxies must be received prior to the start of the Meeting. If you need either an Absentee Ballot or Proxy, please contact the Office (office@gpmcha.org) and we will email them to you. Only one of these forms are necessary to vote.
For those who would like to attend the meeting via ZOOM, contact the Office and we can send you the link to join the meeting.
Until further notice, we are requiring anyone entering the Office to have some form of facial covering, either a mask or bandana. There will be a similar notice on the front door as well.
Let’s all stay safe and healthy.
The Office is staffed Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays from 8 AM to 5 PM. The door is locked for health reasons and payments can be put into the drop box. If you need to put in a work order, email the request to office@gpmcha.org or you can call the Office or leave a message; Sometimes Terry is away from her desk doing other things, so leave a voice message. Both Terry and I are in the high risk group and we are protecting our health, as should all of you.
If things change we will notify you, but for now, the Office will be operating on reduced hours. Maintenance personnel will still be maintaining the property, so please remain a minimum of 6 feet from them.
Thanks
We have been noticing that many people, residents and visitors alike, are driving through the property way too fast. Kids are out of school until the Fall, probably, and people are out walking and riding their bikes while we all try to stay home and stay healthy.
I have seen it all too often, some drivers are doing at least 40 MPH (maybe more), which is entirely too fast. We installed speed bumps in an effort to slow people down, but the result is some drive faster so they cannot feel the speed bumps. This is totally unsafe, unacceptable and damages the speed bumps. The bolts holding them in place are being sheared off.
The posted speed limit on property is 10 MPH for a reason. There are many blind corners here, including carports, and kids playing in and around our streets while they cannot go to school.
Please slow down when driving our streets.
The Board has decided to postpone the Annual meeting (March 27) and the April 2nd regular Board meeting due to the current situation with state, county and city closures. The next scheduled meeting is on June 4th and hopefully normalcy will return by then. If not, we will keep you advised.
We will be placing notices on each property early next week so everyone is aware of the postponement.
