Just so we all understand our water bills, I thought it would be a good idea to quantify them for you. We have 25 water meters around the property, and some areas use a lot more water than others. This may well be that there are more households on some meters than on others.<\/p>\n
The past 3 water bills are as follows:<\/p>\n
March 2017 –\u00a0 2,139,000 gallons<\/strong><\/p>\n April 2017 –\u00a0 1,983,000 gallons<\/strong><\/p>\n May 2017 –\u00a0 2,542,000 gallons<\/strong><\/p>\n Our current water bill is just under $30,000.00.\u00a0 Our water, based on our level of consumption, costs over $6.00 per thousand gallons. We also get billed for Waste Water, Storm Drainage, and for the multi-meters.<\/p>\n For those of you who have not lived here for a long time, there was a time when the HOA paid for the water themselves. I remember when the dues were less than $45-$55 a month when I moved here in 1983. But a few years later, the HOA had to make the water bill part of the dues, or face financial problems. That is when the dues went up to cover the water bill.
