{"id":1312,"date":"2015-07-19T15:53:06","date_gmt":"2015-07-19T21:53:06","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/gpmcha.org\/?p=1312"},"modified":"2015-07-19T16:11:00","modified_gmt":"2015-07-19T22:11:00","slug":"expired-stickers-in-visitor-lots","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/gpmcha.org\/?p=1312","title":{"rendered":"Expired Stickers in Visitor Lots"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We are doing periodic patrols throughout the subdivision looking for any vehicles with expired Inspection or Registration.\u00a0 The following comes from the TxDPS\u00a0 website: (emphasis added)<\/p>\n<p class=\"subhead\" style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">New Timelines for Inspections<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>Prior to <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Feb, 29, 2016<\/span>, you must have a passing vehicle inspection at the time you register or renew your vehicle\u2019s registration. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>If your inspection expires before your registration, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">you are required to get your vehicle inspected before the inspection expiration date<\/span>. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>After <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">March 1, 2016<\/span>, you must pass a vehicle inspection within 90 calendar days prior to registration or renewing your vehicle.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The towing company tells me they have to give someone 10 days after tagging their vehicle for expired stickers, according to State law. However, if we tag your vehicle or call it in, there is no 10 day grace period, primarily due to the fact that the Visitor Lots are located on private property.
